CM Bugti vows zero tolerance on corruption, announces reforms to strengthen anti-corruption bodies

QUETTA, Dec 09 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, marked International Anti-Corruption Day, reaffirming the provincial government’s zero tolerance policy against corruption.
He emphasized the government’s clear strategy to establish transparent governance, strengthen institutions, and eliminate corruption across the province.
In a message on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed the provincial government’s strong political will and clear strategy to establish transparent governance, strengthen institutions, and achieve the complete elimination of corruption in Balochistan.
The Chief Minister asserted that corruption remains the biggest impediment to the development of any society, making stringent measures and the implementation of modern administrative systems a crucial necessity.
CM Bugti announced significant steps taken by the provincial government to ensure accountability. The Balochistan government has introduced wide-ranging reforms to enable the Anti-Corruption Establishment to work in an effective, active, and autonomous manner.
The Chief Minister Inspection Team has been revitalized with new energy, increased powers, and an improved monitoring mechanism to ensure transparency and accountability within government departments.
To prevent corruption, he said the government has focused on key administrative and technological reforms as comprehensive departmental restructuring is underway.
The provincial government has launched initiatives for the digitization of government records and services and strict monitoring of development projects is being enforced.
Furthermore, special measures have been taken for the prompt redressal of public complaints.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the government is committed to promoting merit and transparency in public institutions.
He warned that indiscriminate action is being taken against elements involved in corruption, and no pressure or interference will be tolerated in this process.
The Chief Minister stressed that establishing good governance requires more than just the performance of government institutions; public cooperation, effective monitoring, and responsible civic participation are also vitally important.
He urged citizens to identify instances of corruption and become part of the government’s reform process.
The Chief Minister also called the youth to stand with the government to build a transparent, organized, and developed Balochistan.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to the zero tolerance policy against corruption and pledged to continue strengthening the ongoing reforms for transparent governance, the rule of law, and the protection of public resources.
