PISHIN, Sep 02 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to equitable development across the province, declaring that “no region will be left behind.”
Speaking at a large public gathering in Karbala, Pishin, hosted by Provincial Assembly member Zafar Agha, Bugti announced a sweeping development package and key reforms aimed at transforming the region.
The event drew a significant turnout from local residents, reflecting strong community engagement and anticipation for change.
Chief Minister Bugti outlined a series of development projects for Karbala and neighboring areas, including the elevation of Karbala to a tehsil and granted a Municipal Committee.
The local hospital will be upgraded to a Tehsil Headquarter Hospital under the management of Indus Hospital.
He also announced the construction of 10-kilometer road in the area to meet longstanding demands of the community.
He said that solar power projects will be launched to improve energy access and new intermediate college will be established to serve local students.
The chief minister also announced a Rs 50 crore development package will be allocated to Haramzai, Karbala, and Saranan.
Addressing concerns surrounding the Mines and Minerals Act, Bugti dismissed rumors and assured citizens that the province’s natural resources would not be compromised.
He pledged to reintroduce the Act in the assembly with full consensus from all stakeholders, including the opposition, to safeguard public rights.
“There is no opposition or government when it comes to Balochistan’s development,” Bugti stated, emphasizing unity over division.
Sarfraz Bugti spotlighted youth empowerment as a cornerstone of his administration’s vision. Under the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program, students from Balochistan are being offered opportunities to study at over 200 universities worldwide. He encouraged young people to embrace these initiatives and return with the knowledge needed to uplift their communities.
The chief minister reiterated that the Pakistan Peoples Party’s manifesto is rooted in public service, and that true honor lies in loyalty and service to the nation.
The gathering was attended by several key figures, including provincial ministers Bakht Muhammad Kakar and Noor Muhammad Dummar, opposition leader Mir Younis Aziz Zehri, and Provincial Assembly members Malik Naeem Khan Bazai and Zarak Mandokhail.
