QUETTA, Sep 09 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti on Monday said that the Coast Guard officials of Hub would be called to realize the concerns of the members of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) regarding it.
He said this on the flour of Provincial Assembly in response of MPA Asadullah Baloch who earlier expressed his reservation regarding the Coast Guard Officials of Hub area of Lasbela district.
The Assembly Session was chaired by Speaker Balochistan Assembly Captain (Rtd) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai on Monday.
The chief minister said that the opposition would also be invited to attend the meeting in this regard.
He said that there was a request from the Speaker that the assembly should be run under rules and regulations.
The Speaker supported the proposal of the CM and said that if the members are not given a chance, then they make complaints, but I am trying to run the assembly under rules and regulations.
Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Kumar presented a joint resolution on behalf of the minority assembly members Ravi Pooja and Patrick Sant Masih read that in the text of the resolution that people belonging to minorities in Pakistan should not only be involved in politics but also in Pakistan’s forces, bureaucracy, education, apart from health.
He said that they were rendering their services for the development and prosperity of the country in various fields of life adding the the State is committed to the protection, empowerment and development of under-represented communities including religious minorities to ensure their participation in economic, political and public representation.
Sanjay Kumar said that the federal and provincial governments have allocated 5% quota for minorities in the jobs of all government and non-government organizations but the 5 percent quota reserved for the minorities in the provincial departments was not being implemented due to which the minorities were being deeply worried.
Therefore, this house recommends the government to take steps to implement the quota allocated for minorities, he said.
Later, the joint resolution was unanimously approved by law makers.
During the season, heated arguments were exchanged between Mir Ali Madad Jatak and Mir Asadullah Baloch.
Fateha was offered on the death of the brother of Parliamentary Secretary Services and General Administration Mir Liaquat Ali Lehri before starting of the session.
Earlier, the Speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai welcomed the boys and girls of Iqra Middle High School for attending the Assembly session. Later, the assembly session was adjourned till Thursday.
