QUETTA, Aug 01 (APP): Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has taken strong notice of the brutal murder of two innocent young girls in Quetta’s Kechi Baig area and the tragic double homicide of a married couple in Mastung. Expressing deep sorrow and outrage over the incidents, the chief minister described them as shocking assaults on societal values, human conscience, and the writ of the state, press release said on Friday.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti directed the Inspector General of Police Balochistan, to ensure the immediate arrest of all individuals involved and asserted that no perpetrator, regardless of influence or status, will be spared from the full force of the law.
He emphasized that the Balochistan government has zero tolerance for such heinous crimes and that those responsible will be brought to justice without delay.
The chief minister ordered that the investigation of both cases be handed over to the Serious Crimes Investigation Wing to ensure a transparent, evidence-based, and scientific inquiry. He instructed the police and relevant investigative bodies to utilize advanced forensic and technical resources to reach concrete outcomes swiftly and to ensure the perpetrators are prosecuted in accordance with the law.
“These barbaric acts are not just criminal offences; they are crimes against humanity that shake the conscience of the entire society,” said Mir Sarfraz Bugti. “The government stands in full solidarity with the bereaved families and will fulfill its legal, moral and constitutional duty to deliver them justice.”
He reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of its citizens, stating that the safety and security of the people remain the state’s foremost responsibility.
The chief minister also urged to the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and stability, and to report any suspicious activity promptly so that those responsible may be held accountable and the society made safer for all.
