QUETTA, Oct 22 (APP):Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Wednesday said that like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan province is also badly affected by terrorism and in dire need of modern security equipment to maintain law and order.
In a statement on social networking site X, he requested the Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi that if the KPK government is refusing to take the bulletproof vehicles provided by the federal, then those vehicles should be handed over to the Balochistan government so that the ongoing war against terrorism in the province could be made more effective.
The CM said that Balochistan is going through a difficult security situation where the police, Levies and other law enforcement agencies are sacrificing their lives every day for the protection of the people.
In such circumstances, it is imperative to provide all possible facilities and security resources to the province so that the threats of terrorism can be effectively combated, he mentioned.
He said that the Balochistan government considers the protection of public life and property as its top priority and for this purpose, work is underway to increase the capacity of security agencies, provide modern equipment and improve their quick response capabilities.
Bugti clarified that all the institutions of the federation and the province are working under a joint strategy to establish peace in the province so that the ongoing struggle against terrorism could be successfully completed. He said that the Balochistan government is taking all possible steps to provide a peaceful, secure and stable environment to its people.
