QUETTA, Nov 12 (APP):Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Wednesday directed relevant authorities to meet the current demand of sugar in province and finalize timely measures in this regard as soon as possible to ensure availability of sugar.
He said this while chairing a meeting regarding the supply and demand of sugar in Balochistan.
Measures related to the availability and supply of sugar in the province were reviewed during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Secretary Industries Muhammad Khalid Sarpara and Director General Industries Zulfiqar Shah.
The meeting was briefed by the relevant authorities regarding the availability and required quantity of sugar in the province.
The meeting was informed that the required quantity of sugar is being ensured to Balochistan through the Trading Corporation of Pakistan and the relevant sugar dealers.
The CM directed that measures to prevent the shipment of sugar outside the province should be made more effective.
He also ordered the relevant authorities to meet the current demand for sugar in the province and finalize timely steps in this regard as soon as possible.
