CM announces three new motorways for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

PESHAWAR, Jan 05 (APP):Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi has announced that the province will receive three new motorways to improve connectivity and promote development in remote areas.
According to details, the Swat Motorway Phase-II will extend from Chakdara Interchange to Fatehpur, covering a distance of 80 kilometers.
 The project will include nine interchanges and seven bridges, and construction is expected to commence soon.
The Peshawar–Dera Ismail Khan Motorway, spanning 365 kilometers, will feature 19 interchanges and two tunnels. This project will be constructed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
Meanwhile, the Dir Motorway will be fully funded by the provincial government.
The Chief Minister directed the concerned departments to immediately resolve all legal and technical matters related to these projects.
He emphasized the transparent utilization of resources to ensure development and prosperity in the far-flung areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
