Clean drinking schemes to be completed on time: Minister

PESHAWAR, Dec 04 (APP): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering, Fazal Shakoor Khan has said that all development schemes related to provision of clean drinking water and improved sanitation systems would be completed on priority basis.
He was talking to elected representatives of southern districts here on Thursday. He said that development schemes of the department would be distributed equally across all districts and constituencies.
The representatives briefed the minister about ongoing water supply schemes, ADP approved development projects, schemes facing delays and obstacles affecting timely completion. They pointed out issues such as deteriorated old pipelines and other challenges affecting progress.
The minister assured the elected representatives that all schemes would be completed within the stipulated time-lines. He maintained that department would ensure completion of all ongoing and ADP schemes with transparency, abiding by high quality standards and timely execution.
The minister issued directives to prepare the PC-I for the existing rehabilitation of pipeline and solarization of the ADP scheme in district Tank. He also assured timey release of funds allocated for ongoing schemes.
