Civil Services Legacy Guild holds 1st national condolence reference to honor public servants

LAHORE, Dec 11 (APP):The Civil Services Legacy Guild (CSLG), along with its co-host, organized the First National Condolence Reference at Alhamra Hall on Thursday, commemorating the services of departed civil servants and national figures who contributed to Pakistan from 1947 to 2025.
The solemn and historic gathering paid rich tribute to the lifelong contributions of these distinguished personalities. The event was efficiently managed by probationers of the Civil Service Academy’s 53rd Common Training Program.
A panel of eminent speakers addressed the ceremony, including Patron-in-Chief CSLG Naguib Ullah Malik, Director General Civil Service Academy Farhan Aziz Khawaja, Salman Siddique, Dr. Amjad Saqib, Kamran Lashari, Tariq Mahmood, and Sohail Ahmad Azizi.
The speakers expressed sincere condolences and offered thoughtful reflections on the legacy of the departed. They emphasized the dedication, integrity, and exceptional professional caliber of former civil servants whose tireless efforts helped shape Pakistan’s governance and national development.
Founder of CSLG, Yawar Mehdi, expressed profound grief and extended condolences to the families of the deceased. He also offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed and acknowledged their exemplary services on behalf of the Civil Services Forum.
A key segment of the ceremony featured the reading of official condolence messages received from prominent national and international dignitaries. Messages from Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan were presented by Civil Service Academy probationers. A message from Salman Farooqi, former Secretary General to the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, was also read, conveying his sentiments from the United States.
The event concluded with renowned Naat Khawan Marghoob Ahmad Hamdani reciting a dua and offering Fateha for the departed souls.
The Civil Services Legacy Guild reaffirmed its commitment to preserving and promoting the legacy of Pakistan’s distinguished civil servants who dedicated their lives to public service.
