Civil Services Academy trainees visit IUB for educational tour

BAHAWALPUR, Oct 30 (APP):Officers of the 53rd Common Training Program undergoing training at the Civil Services Academy Lahore paid a two-day visit to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
The delegation was briefed about the administrative, teaching, research and development projects of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. On the first day, the members of the delegation met with Registrar Muhammad Shaji-ur-Rehman, Treasurer Bashir Hussain, Additional Controller of Examinations Rana Muhammad Ashraf and other officers at the Abbasia Campus.
On this occasion, Director Public Relations Dr. Shahzad Ahmed Khalid gave a detailed briefing on the history of the university and related matters. The members of the delegation also visited the University Medical Center and Transport Division where Chief Medical Officer Dr. Usman Cheema and Principal Transport Officer Sammar Waheed gave a briefing. During the visit to the Faculty of Law, Dean Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Rao Imran Habib informed about the training and practice of law.
At the Khawaja Farid Campus, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Qaiser Jabeen informed about the professional education related to the departments of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences. The delegation attended a public policy dialogue organized by the Chairman of the Department of Public Administration Dr. Shahbaz Ali Khan, where a detailed discussion was held on the civil services structure, responsibilities and services in Pakistan. On the second day, the Department of Administrative Sciences, Institute of Business and Administrative Sciences, Dean, Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal and Chairman Dr. Shahid Mahmood had a detailed discussion on CSS exams, district administrative affairs and civil services opportunities for various professional groups and youth. Principal of Nursing College, Farhan Mukhtar, informed about the national and international importance of the nursing sector during the visit. The members of the delegation appreciated the creative talents of the students of the University College of Arts and Design. The head of the delegation, Ms. Pooja thanked the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, for the arrangements and briefings for the two-day visit.
