Civil Defence seals 15 shops over illegal LPG decanting
SARGODHA, Sep 30 (APP):Civil Defence authorities on Wednesday sealed 15 shops at Chowk Bhagat on Lahore Road for carrying out illegal Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) decanting and refilling activities during an ongoing crackdown.
According to a spokesperson, Civil Defence Officer Talib Hussain said that the operation was conducted under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry as part of routine inspections against illegal gas decanting across the district.
He stated that the sealed outlets were found involved in the unauthorized transfer and refilling of LPG cylinders, posing serious safety hazards to the public.
Talib Hussain emphasized that enforcement operations were being intensified across the district to protect public lives and property and prevent potential industrial accidents, adding that strict legal action would continue against violators without discrimination.
