LAHORE, Jan 21 (APP):The city experienced partly cloudy and cold weather on Tuesday, while the MET Office forecast similar conditions for the next 24 hours.
According to MET officials, a westerly wave is affecting the western and upper parts of the country. They predicted predominantly cold and dry weather across most regions, with rain and snowfall expected in the hilly areas of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and northwest Balochistan. Additionally, shallow fog is likely to persist in various districts of Punjab and upper Sindh during the morning and night hours.
Rainfall was reported in several cities across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan, while snowfall was observed in Kalam, Malam Jabba, and Astor.
The lowest temperature on Tuesday was recorded in Leh, where the mercury dropped to -9°C. In Lahore, the minimum and maximum temperatures were 7.5°C and 22.5°C, respectively.
