LAHORE, Dec 23 (APP):A special Christmas cake-cutting ceremony was organized for Christian employees at the Lahore Development Authority’s Sports Complex,Johar Town on Tuesday.
The event was arranged to celebrate Christmas with Christian employees and their families in a festive and inclusive environment.
Vice Chairman LDA Mian Marghoob Ahmed and Director General LDA Tahir Farooq attended the ceremony as chief guests.
ADG Headquarters Rabia Riyasat was also present on the occasion.
The Vice Chairman and DG LDA, along with Christian employees,cut the Christmas cake and extended warm greetings to the Christian community.
President LDA Workers Union Kashif Gujjar, General Secretary Shahid Baqar and Abid Khayali also joined the cake-cutting ceremony with Christian employees, expressing solidarity and goodwill.
Addressing the ceremony, DG LDA Tahir Farooq announced that Christian employees would be sent on religious pilgrimages. He further stated that Christian employees have been provided with advance salaries and a special Christmas bonus to mark the occasion.
Vice Chairman(VC)LDA Mian Marghoob Ahmed appreciated the services of Christian employees and said that minorities were the pride of the nation.
He emphasized that all employees must work together for the development of Pakistan and for the betterment of the LDA.
He added that employee welfare and well-being remain a top priority of the authority.
A large number of Christian employees and their families attended the Christmas event.
