Chiniot beautification drive accelerates with new road projects and vehicle checks
CHINIOT, Nov 20 (APP):Under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Deputy Commissioner Chiniot Safiullah Gondal, alongside officials from AXIN Highways, on Thursday inspected key arterial routes—Sargodha Road, Bypass, and Faisalabad Road—in the city area to assess progress on the Chiniot-Faisalabad Road development.
After a detailed briefing on the Ghala Mandi to Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Chowk segment, Gondal ordered immediate measurement of central medians and drainage works on both sides of the road and directed that construction begin without delay.
The Deputy Commissioner also toured the New Vehicle Inspection and Certification System (VICS) Center in Chiniot, where he reviewed the fitness certification process for vehicles. He instructed officials to issue certificates only after full compliance with standard operating procedures, emphasizing that no vehicle should operate on public roads without proper clearance.
