CHINIOT, Jul 15 (APP):The Chiniot district administration sprang into action to drain water from the city during the recent rain.
The steps were taken on the instructions of Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
According to DC office, the relevant departments, including the Waste Management Company, were on a high alert and municipal committees were instructed to ensure drainage of water from low-lying areas.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Safiullah Gondal monitored the efforts, ensuring that all machinery was active and deployed in low-lying areas. Monitoring of drainage work was also ongoing during the rain to minimize disruptions and ensure public safety.
He advised citizens to take precautionary measures during the rain, including staying away from electricity poles and avoiding unnecessary travel.
By taking these precautions, citizens can minimize risks and ensure their safety during the rainy weather.
