FAISALABAD, Oct 07 (APP):Consul General of China Zhao Shiren on Tuesday reaffirmed his support for the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) and pledged to strengthen cooperation during his visit to the Confucius Institute (CI) at UAF.
He also toured the UAF exhibition center and CI, expressing commitment to advancing bilateral ties in key areas such as education, science, and culture.
Later, Mr. Zhao met with UAF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, appreciating the university’s state-of-the-art facilities and remarkable progress in agricultural education and research. He praised UAF’s significant contributions to national food security and agricultural development and discussed enhancing cooperation in academia, research, and exchange programs.
During his visit to CI-UAF, the Consul General emphasized strengthening academic collaboration through research and student-faculty exchanges, promoting Chinese language and cultural initiatives, and facilitating the transfer of advanced Chinese agricultural technology.
CI Local Dean Dr. Saddam Hussain stated that this collaboration is set to benefit Pakistan’s agricultural sector and economic growth, aligning with the strategic frameworks of CPEC and the Belt and Road Initiative. He added that the visit marks a new chapter in UAF-China relations, promising enriched academic programs, joint research ventures, and a stronger partnership.
