PESHAWAR, Oct 24 (APP):world polio days reiterated the provincial government’s unwavering commitment to eradicate polio, as the world observes World Polio Day.
He said that all available resources are being fully utilized to eliminate the crippling disease from the province.
In a statement, the Chief Secretary emphasized that protecting children from polio remains a top priority for the government, and coordinated efforts are underway across all districts.
“We reaffirm our resolve to make Khyber Pakhtunkhwa completely polio-free. Every possible step is being taken to ensure the success of ongoing anti-polio campaigns,” he stated.
He appealed to parents to cooperate with vaccination teams and ensure their children receive the essential polio drops during every campaign.
“The protection of our future generations is a shared responsibility. Parents must ensure that their children are vaccinated so that our future remains safe and protected,” he added.
Health officials said that the provincial administration, district governments, and frontline workers continue to work tirelessly to combat polio.
They also paid tribute to polio workers for their dedication and service, especially in high-risk areas.
