QUETTA, Aug 16 (APP):Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti called on Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandukhail at Governor House Quetta on Friday.
Speaker Balochistan Assembly Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, several provincial ministers, provincial assembly members and chief secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan were also present in the meeting.
During the meeting, it was discussed to get the public universities out of the financial crisis for promoting a corruption-free society and to convey the fruits of the ongoing development projects to the common man.
On this occasion, Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandukhail said that universities were the assets of our future, conscious efforts were being made to get them out of the financial crisis and completely free from corruption.
In response to a question, the Governor said that we have to utilize the knowledge and experience of the experts and researchers present in all the public sector universities of Balochistan to meet the new human needs and it was clear that there would be no compromise on the observance of merit.
We continue to work together to take advantage of available resources and opportunities with political commitment to bring basic amenities to all the citizens of our province at their doorsteps, he said.
He said that our consultation would continue in the future as well, we could be in constant contact with each other in order to bring meaningful change and ensure the bright future of our province.
Both leaders also agreed to make all the public sector universities of the province in accordance with the modern requirements of the time and to amend the University Act.
