GUJRAT, Jul 04 (APP):Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain visited Gujrat to review security, sanitation, and civic arrangements for Muharram.
The minister inspected control rooms at the offices of the Deputy Commissioner and District Police Officer and expressed satisfaction over the monitoring systems.
He also reviewed routes of mourning processions and received briefings from relevant officials. Later, the minister chaired a meeting at the DC office to assess law and order arrangements. Commissioner Gujranwala Naveed Haider Sherazi, RPO Tayyab Hafeez Cheema, DC Naveed Ahmad, DPO Meher Muhammad Riaz Naz, and other officers attended the meeting.Officials briefed the minister on security deployments, CCTV surveillance, emergency response measures, and the establishment of 24/7 operational control rooms.
Arrangements for Majalis and processions in urban and rural areas were also reviewed.Chaudhry Shafay Hussain lauded the district administration’s efforts and directed security personnel to maintain vigilance, emphasizing that negligence would not be tolerated.
