RAWALPINDI, Oct 21 (APP):In a swift response to a disturbing incident, Chaklala Police arrested a man on Tuesday for allegedly harassing a woman and hurling threat to kill her, according to a police spokesperson.
The incident took place when the suspect reportedly intercepted the woman on a road in the Chaklala area. According to police, the accused not only harassed her but also verbally abused her and threating to kill her, leaving the victim shaken.
The woman promptly reported the incident to the Chaklala Police, who took immediate action by registering a case against the suspect. Using human intelligence, police tracked down and arrested the suspect.
A spokesperson confirmed that the suspect is now in police custody.
Superintendent of Police (SP) for the Potohar division, Talha Wali stated that the accused will be presented in the court with solid evidence.
“Such acts of harassment and abuse against women are absolutely unacceptable,” SP Wali added. “We are determined to bring the perpetrator to justice and send a clear message that such behavior will not be tolerated.”
