ABBOTTABAD, Jan 04 (APP):Chairman Board of Governors (BoG) Ayub Medical Institution (AMI), Professor Dr. Abid Jamil on Sunday paid a surprise visit to the Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit morning following public complaints, and ordered an inquiry into administrative and professional shortcomings observed during the visit.
During the inspection, Prof. Dr. Abid Jamil expressed strong displeasure over the absence of doctors and reviewed various lapses in the department. He directed the authorities to conduct a formal inquiry and take strict action against those found responsible.
The Chairman interacted with patients undergoing treatment and their attendants, inquired about the medical facilities being provided, and listened to their concerns. He also personally reviewed patients’ files and medical histories to assess the quality of treatment.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Abid Jamil said that no compromise would be tolerated on patient care. He emphasized that timely and quality healthcare is the top priority of Ayub Medical Institution, adding that negligence at any level is unacceptable. He further stated that strict and impartial action would be taken against anyone violating institutional rules and regulations.
