RAWALPINDI, Oct 31 (APP):A certificate distribution ceremony was held here at the Police Lines Headquarters on Friday for students who completed the handicraft course and the Friends of Police internship programme.
Punjab’s Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture Shazia Rizwan distributed the certificates among the participants as the chief guest.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police (Admin), Deputy Superintendent of Police (Legal) and the principal of the handicraft school were also present at the ceremony.
According to a spokesman for Rawalpindi Police, the handicraft course, launched in April this year, trained 19 daughters of police officers free of cost.
The chief guest inspected the clothing designs prepared by the trainees and appreciated their skill and hard work.
The ceremony also marked the completion of the 37th batch of the Friends of Police internship programme, in which students from various educational institutions took part in a two-week training module. Senior police officers delivered lectures on policing, station management, the Khidmat Markaz, front-desk procedures, police applications, traffic management and legal and judicial processes. The students were also taken on visits to different police offices and units.
Women, the spokesman quoted Shazia Rizwan as saying, were excelling in every field and working alongside men with distinction. She added that the Rawalpindi Police, led by City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani, were performing commendably, maintaining control over crime while fulfilling their responsibilities across diverse domains.
