SARGODHA, Dec 03 (APP): A ceremony was organized at the Adil Special School and Rehabilitation Center here on Wednesday to mark ‘World Disability Day2025’.
A large number of special children, parents, teachers, civil society members, and social leaders attended the event.
During the ceremony, the special children captivated the audience and won their hearts with speeches, tableaus, artistic activities, and various performances.
Addressing the participants, the speakers highlighted that physical or mental disability is not a weakness. They stressed that with proper guidance, better training, and encouragement, special children can play a prominent role in society.
The speakers emphasized that providing basic facilities, education, and opportunities for social inclusion to special persons is a collective responsibility of society.
A large number of prominent personalities attended the event, including Renowned Physiotherapist and lecturer Sargodha Medical College Dr Farjad Afzal, Child Specialists Dr Rai Shirazi, Dr Sajid Hussain Shirazi, Dr Khawaja Muhammad Arshad, Advocate Seemab Shehzadi, Mehran Raza Khan, and representatives from Beaconhouse Primary Campus Sargodha.
Other notables present on the occasion included Ayesha Warraich (Qurbat Foundation), Advocate Waris Nadeem Warraich, Abida Nazar (Protection Life Foundation), Director Social Welfare Madam Shakira Noreen, Deputy Director Zaiba Andleeb, and Assistant Directors Asma Manzoor and Asna Awan.
At the conclusion of the program, gifts were distributed among the children to appreciate
their performance.
