CCTV cameras installed under safe city project

LOWER DIR July 09 (APP):As part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s Safe City Project, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Arif Khan here on Wednesday inaugurated newly installed CCTV cameras in Balambat.
He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance & Planning) Gohar Ali, Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Timergara Zaid Safi, Tehsil Nazims of Balambat and Adenzai, and representatives of local MNAs and MPAs.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Deputy Commissioner said that advanced CCTV cameras have been installed in various areas, markets, key locations, and government buildings across the district to enhance public safety and crime prevention.
He stated that the installation would allow for 24/7 monitoring, help deter crime, protect citizens’ lives and property, and assist law enforcement in investigations involving theft, kidnapping, and other criminal activities.
Engr. Zabihullah, CEO of Zaiscom Engineering Services, briefed participants about the round-the-clock surveillance system and modern features of the newly installed hidden cameras at key locations.
Participants praised the provincial government’s initiative and appreciated the efforts of the Lower Dir district administration in implementing the project effectively.
