LAYYAH, Jul 10 (APP):The Counter Crime Department (CCD) arrested a suspect for displaying a weapon on social media, officials said on Thursday.
According to a CCD spokesperson, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Zafran Kazim apprehended the accused, Zahid Aslam, and recovered an illegal pistol from his possession.
A case has been registered against the suspect, who has been placed in custody while further investigation is underway.
The CCD spokesperson warned that brandishing weapons on social media is a punishable offence and strict action will be taken against anyone found violating the law.
