LAHORE, Jan 03 (APP):The CBD Punjab has crossed another important milestone in Lahore’s urban infrastructure.
The project for remodeling and upgradation of Walton Road and ADA Nallah, which also includes the Major Ishaq Shaheed Flyover, has been officially handed over to the Walton Cantonment Board.
Completed at a cost of Rs 10.2 billion, the project is benefiting 700,000 to 800,000 vehicles and more than 1 million residents daily.
The handover of the project took place after a joint inspection by both the agencies, after which the Walton Cantonment Board has taken full responsibility for its operation and maintenance.
The CBD Punjab has also handed over two modern disposal stations to the Walton Cantonment Board, while the complete management of cleaning, electricity and drainage of Walton Road has also been entrusted to the Cantonment Board.
According to CEO CBD Punjab Imran Amin, this project was completed to solve traffic problems and drainage challenges, which improved traffic flow and eliminated the dangers of rainwater drainage. This project is an important step towards providing sustainable and modern infrastructure for Lahore.
