GUJRAT, Nov 04 (APP):The Punjab Livestock Department has launched a special program in Gujrat aimed at enhancing the genetic potential of low-yield cattle, with the goal of increasing milk production and improving animal breeding in the district.
According to a spokesperson for the Livestock Department, high-quality Brahman and Friesian semen will be provided to farmers at subsidized rates as part of the initiative.
This program is part of the government’s broader efforts to modernize livestock practices and support rural livelihoods. Livestock farmers in Gujrat are encouraged to visit their nearest veterinary hospital or contact a certified technician to take advantage of this facility.
The department reiterated its commitment to improving animal breeds and fostering the prosperity of local farmers.
