CAREC institute acknowledges Sargodha University for co-hosting research conference

SARGODHA, Jul 10 (APP):The University of Sargodha (UoS) has been acknowledged by the CAREC Institute for its instrumental role in co-hosting the 5th Annual Research Conference held in Islamabad from May 29 to 30, 2025.
According to a press release issued by the UoS, a letter of appreciation was issued by the CAREC Institute to Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, lauding the University’s support and collaborative spirit.
Themed “CAREC Connectivity: Promoting Trade and Trade Facilitation,” the high-level conference brought together over 200 participants, including senior policymakers, researchers, development partners, and nearly 50 international delegates. The event focused on critical regional challenges such as trade integration, resilient infrastructure, and cross-border digital and transport connectivity.
In the letter, CAREC Institute Director Mr. Charymuhammet Shallyyev commended UoS for its valuable contribution to the success of the event, noting that the University’s partnership helped elevate the discourse and impact of the conference.
The participation of Federal Minister for Planning Prof. Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Investment Mr. Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh, and HEC Chairman Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed further underscored the national significance of the gathering, as noted in the letter.
The CAREC Institute also highlighted how the conference played a vital role in enhancing Pakistan’s soft image and expanding regional research linkages. UoS’s involvement not only demonstrated its growing stature in international academic diplomacy but also reinforced its commitment to advancing knowledge-based collaboration across Central and South Asia.
