FAISALABAD, Feb 22 (APP): The divisional administration has almost completed beautification and rehabilitation of one-kilometer footpath along both sides of Canal Road from Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Underpass by installing decorative tiles and unique benches to create an attractive recreational space for the citizens in line with Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz’s vision.
Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar visited Canal Road to inspect the ongoing work. He reviewed the quality of beautification efforts and appreciated the installation of newly designed benches for public convenience.
He however directed the concerned departments to expedite the remaining landscaping work including the decoration of canal-side areas with colorful flowers to further enhance the aesthetic appeal.
He said that ornamental lights on trees would present a captivating look at night to attract the passersby by adding vibrancy to the urban environment.
He said that beautification measures are being implemented across the division to improve overall cityscape and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for the residents and visitors. Such initiatives would provide clean, green and more pleasant public spaces, he added.
