BAHAWALPUR, Jul 10 (APP): The Cabinet Committee on Law and Order here on Wednesday visited Imambargahs and procession routes in Bahawalpur to review the security arrangements of Moharram-ul-Haram. Provincial Minister and Chairman Cabinet Committee Khwaja Salman Rafique, Provincial Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Agriculture Minister Syed Aashiq Hussain Kirmani, and Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan also visited the Markazi Imambargah Jamia Hussainia and the Control Room established there.
The central procession in Bahawalpur will start from Jamia Hussainia and conclude at Karbala.
Under the directive of the Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, arrangements are being reviewed across the province. Khawaja Salman Rafique said that unity among Muslims guarantees our secure future. He said that for the participants of the procession, complete arrangements for security, ambulance and medical care are in place.
Khawaja Salman Rafique emphasized the importance of safety measures.
The Committee members also met with members of the Divisional Security Committee on the procession routes.
The Cabinet Committee also met with police, civil defense, and Rescue 1122 personnel on the procession route.
Secretary Interior Punjab Noor ul Amin Mengal, IG Punjab Dr. Osman Anwar, Additional IG South Punjab Muhammad Kamran Khan and Additional IG Counter Terrorism Department Waqas Sial were also present.
