BYP to be implemented in real sense for guiding youth to right direction: CM Bugti

QUETTA, Aug 09 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Friday said that Balochistan Youth Policy (BYP) 2024 must be implemented in real sense for guiding youth in the right direction to get opportunities for advancement and development.
He said that seeds of hatred were sown in the minds of the youth through social media to keep them away from the state. He said that the state would embrace its youth and heal their sense of deprivation, Balochistan Youth Policy (BYP) 2024 must be implemented in real sense so that the youth could be guided in the right direction saying that they would get opportunities for advancement and development.
He expressed these views while addressing the fifth session of the Balochistan Cabinet.
In the meeting, important administrative decisions were taken on the agenda points of various departments. While issuing orders for the early repayment of the loans due to the private banks in charge of the food department, the chief minister said that they could not give the money of the poor people of Balochistan in the form of interest. 0.2 million rupees daily and 60 million rupees monthly were paid as interest, this is cruel and such practice should be stopped now, he mentioned.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that he would increase the professional capacity of police and Levies to maintain durable peace in the province, both the forces have the same basic responsibility. Therefore, maintenance of peace through better coordination should be the primary goal regardless of area allocation, he said.
The CM said that the aspect of humanitarianism was in place, but they would not do anything against the law, autonomous authorities had to increase their own resources instead of depending on the government. He said that how long people’s resources would continue to be showered on such authorities, basically, the purpose of setting up the authorities was to raise the resources but unfortunately the authorities become a burden on the government here. Instead of generating their own resources, they depend on the government, if non-developmental expenses continue to increase like this, during the next ten years, the government would not have resources even for the basic facilities of education, health and sanitation, he said.
Before the proceedings of the cabinet meeting, Asrarullah Khan Kakar, president of the student union of Oxford University London from Balochistan was invited as the guest of honor at cabinet.
