LAHORE, Jun 16 (APP):Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) Regional Committeeon Food, Convener Shahid Imran on Monday warmly welcomed the Punjab government’s landmark decision to launch the “Air Punjab” airline, with an allocation of Rs 10 billion in the provincial budget.
In his statement, he congratulated Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif on this forward-looking initiative. He described the launch of “Air Punjab” as a major step towards enhancing regional connectivity, promoting tourism, and accelerating economic growth across the province.
He said the proposed airline would not only improve inter-city travel within Punjab but also provide easier access for investors, traders, and exporters to key commercial hubs.
The initiative is expected to create significant employment opportunities while also uplifting allied sectors such as hospitality, logistics, and travel.
By prioritizing infrastructure development and modernizing transportation, the Punjab government was laying the groundwork for long-term, sustainable economic advancement,
