ATTOCK, Mar 3 (APP):The police in Pindigheb on Tuesday said they had solved a “blind” murder case, arresting a man accused of killing his own brother in a remote village of the district.
They said the case was registered after Muhammad Riaz, a resident of Malhowala village, reported that his elder son, Sajjad, had left home on 16 January 2026 for a hunting trip with his brothers, including Saif-ur-Rehman, but did not return.
During the search, the locals reported a strong odour emanating from a cave-like spot near the village. Sajjad’s body was subsequently discovered lying in a pool of blood, the police added.
The police teams reached the scene, secured evidence and launched an investigation using forensic and technical methods.
The police identified Sajjad’s brother, Saif-ur-Rehman, also known as Faisal, as the prime suspect.
According to police, he allegedly confessed during questioning
The suspect had been taken into custody, and further legal proceedings are under way, the police added.
