RAJANPUR, Oct 25 (APP):Chairperson of the Punjab Chief Minister’s Inspection,Surveillance and Monitoring Directorate,Brigadier (Retd) Babar Alaudin,Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) on Saturday conducted an extensive visit to Rajanpur and Fazilpur to review health,education and livestock facilities.
Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner(DC) Rajanpur,Assistant Commissioner(AC) Fazilpur and other officials, Brig (R) Babar visited the Rural Health Centre (RHC) Fazilpur and expressed serious concern over poor sanitation and administrative arrangements.
The chairperson observed that the dental unit had been non-functional for a long time and that the OPD roof was damaged, creating difficulties for both patients and staff.
Noting a large patient turnout,about 250 to 300 daily,he instructed doctors to maintain regular attendance and show courteous behavior towards patients.
He also highlighted the issue of malnourished children and directed health officials to prepare a special follow-up plan.
Taking notice of a complaint about a doctor asking patients to buy medicines externally,he ordered an immediate inquiry and issued a warning to the concerned official.
Later,Brig (R) Babar inspected the under-construction Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Fazilpur,where he expressed dissatisfaction over the slow progress despite full funding.
He directed the XEN Buildings to complete the project by mid-January.
During his visit to the Family Health Clinic,he emphasized the need for awareness campaigns on population control,especially counseling fathers,noting that rapid population growth poses social and economic challenges.
The chairperson also visited the Government Experimental Livestock Farm in Fazilpur,where he reviewed ongoing breeding and productivity programs.
He urged officials to adopt scientific methods to enhance milk and meat production and appreciated the staff’s performance.“Model farms like these not only promote livestock development but also create local employment opportunities,”he said.
Brig (R) Babar later visited the Danish School Fazilpur,where he inspected classrooms and interacted with students.
He praised the initiative,calling it “a visionary project of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that has opened doors of quality education for children in remote areas.”He noted that admissions are merit-based and that the program has been extended to other provinces,including Sindh,Balochistan,Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.
Concluding his three-day visit, Brig (R) Babar addressed a press conference alongside Deputy Commissioner(DC) Shafqatullah Mushtaq.
He said the purpose of the visit was to review the performance of government institutions and monitor ongoing development and welfare projects.
He appreciated the teamwork of district administration,police and field officers,stating,“Our mission is not just inspection but improvement and encouragement.
Those performing well will be appreciated, and shortcomings will be addressed.”
