KARACHI, Nov 01 (APP): Governor of Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, in their messages on the occasion of Gilgit-Baltistan’s accession to Pakistan, said that the region’s historic decision to join Pakistan on November 1, 1947, remains a shining chapter in our national history.
They stated that on this day, the brave sons of Gilgit liberated their land from Dogra rule and chose to unite with Pakistan. The 1st of November reminds us of the spirit of unity, sacrifice, and freedom.
Tessori and Shah said that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have set a remarkable example of love and devotion to Pakistan. Owing to its unique geographical location, Gilgit-Baltistan holds great strategic, cultural, and tourism significance.
