LAHORE, Oct 27 (APP):Lahore Press Club hosted a literary reception on Monday in honor of artist and poetess Biaji (Naghmana Khurshid). The event, organized by the Lahore Press Club Arts, Culture, and Technology (ACT) Committee, took place at the Nisar Usmani Auditorium.
The ceremony was presided over by eminent poet and respected Urdu language critic, Professor Dr. Hassan Askari Kazmi. Special guests included Lahore Press Club Senior Vice President Afzaal Talib, Hussain Majroh, Syed Taqi Abbas Naqvi, Dr. Nisar Turabi, and Major (R) Imran Ali Kharal.
Writers and critics from across the country paid rich tributes to Biaji’s remarkable personality, artistry, painting, and poetry, celebrating her latest poetry collection Khuda Aur Chup. During the event, Aftab Javed presented a heartfelt poem titled “Gyan” dedicated to Biaji.
Afzaal Talib, Senior Vice President of Lahore Press Club, lauded the literary and journalistic contributions of the ACT Committee and its chairman, Amjad Usmani.
At the launch of Khuda Aur Chup, Biaji presented copies of her new book to event participants and donated a copy to the library, further enriching Lahore’s literary legacy.
