LAHORE, Jan 18 (APP):A ceremony was held here on Saturday at the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) to distribute certificates among blood donors.
The event was attended by PSCA Managing Director Muhammad Ahsan Younas, DIG Operations Lahore Faisal Kamran and PSCA Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mustansar Feroze and others. More than 30 individuals, including personnel from the Punjab Police, Safe City, Dolphin Force, and citizens who had donated blood, were awarded certificates.
Ahsan Younas said the purpose of giving the certificates was to encourage others, adding that there was no substitute for this act of kindness. Only Allah can reward those who donate blood to those in need.
DIG Operations Lahore Faisal Kamran remarked that giving certificates would further motivate the forces, and Punjab Police were actively participating in this noble cause.
A spokesperson for Safe Cities said that over 10,300 police personnel and citizens had registered for blood donation. The Safe City Blood Bank has partnered with 10 blood donation agencies.
Through the PSCA Blood Bank, more than 100 citizens have donated blood. Citizens can register themselves for blood donation and obtain blood by calling 15 and pressing 4.
