MULTAN, Jun 15 (APP):Muhammad Shoaib and Ayesha, both visually impaired, were married in a grand ceremony at Muhammad Bin Qasim Blind Centre, Multan, with mehndi celebrations held alongside the wedding.
Centre Director Sadia Kirmani said the union brought special joy to the blind community, maintaining that the couple first came to the institution as nursery students. However , now, they are pursuing master’s degrees at Bahauddin Zakariya University.
She said her late father, Qaim Khan Kirmani, had established the tradition of arranging marriages for students educated at the centre, and had facilitated dozens of such weddings during his lifetime. She pledged to continue his mission.
The bride, groom and their families expressed gratitude to the centre’s administration. The ceremonies were attended by Mrs Jeena Ejaz, teacher Muhammad Sajid, and a large number of students and faculty.
