DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Aug 08 (APP):Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Dera Ismail Khan on Thursday announced the results of the matriculation exams.
The names of position holder students were announced in a ceremony held at Chief Minister House in Peshawar.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was the chief guest at the ceremony which was also attended by KP Education Minister Faisal Khan Tarkai, Livestock Minister Fazal Hakeem, Secretary Education Masood Ahmad, Chairman of BISE Dera Ismail Khan Dr Ehsan Ullah, Secretary Bakhtyar Akhtar, Controller Dr Qaiser Anwar and heads of other boards besides students and their parents.
In science group, Muhammad Usman of Linz School clinched the first position with 1163 marks, Sidra tul Muntaha of Leads School secured the second position by obtaining 1160 marks while Muhammad Usman of Linz School got third position by obtaining 1158 marks.
Similarly, in Arts group, Zainab Bibi of Working Folks School No 1 (Female) secured first position by obtaining 1068 marks, Areeba Sehr of GGHS No 3 Samunder Khan got second position with 1067 marks and Salma Bibi of GGHS Thathhal secured third position by obtaining 1052 marks.
Out of total 24,137 students appeared in 9th class exams, 17,179 passed, yielding pass percentage 71.17. Similarly, out of total 23,022 candidates appeared in 10th class exams, 19,649 candidates passed, yielding pass percentage 85.35.
