Bilawal grieves over loss of lives in rain-related incidents across the country

KARACHI, Jul 08 (APP):Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed profound sorrow and heartfelt condolences over the loss of precious lives and widespread damage to property caused by rain-related incidents in various parts of the country, including Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
He extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones in rain-related accidents.
The Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) should jointly initiate relief operations in the rain-affected districts of Balochistan, including Washuk, Awaran, Jhal Magsi, Khuzdar, Musakhel, Killa Saifullah, Barkhan, Kohlu, Loralai, Zhob, and Sherani. He said that immediate measures are also needed to assist the rain-affected people in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Malakand, Buner, Mansehra, and Karak.
He  appealed to the public to avoid unnecessary movement during the rains and to adopt all necessary safety precautions.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that climate change is driving a dangerous rise in global temperatures, resulting in unpredictable weather patterns and increasing hardships for countries like Pakistan. He emphasized that the international community must move beyond rhetoric and take tangible action by mobilizing resources to combat the escalating threats of global warming and environmental degradation.
