BFA foils big attempt to supply 2400 kg unhealthy chicken meat to Quetta
QUETTA, Jul 29 (APP):Balochistan Food Authority (BFA)’s team on Monday foiled a big attempt to supply unhealthy meat of chicken to Quetta city.
On special directive of Director General of BFA Ateequllah, on tip-off, BFA team led by Deputy Director of Operations checked a suspected truck coming from Multan at Khanuzai area and recovered 2400kg unhealthy chicken meat worth million of rupees from it.
According to the laboratory report, the seized meat worth million was found to be harmful for human consumption after testing samples of meat. .
Moreover, under the supervision of the BFA team, a large quantity of unsanitary chicken meat was destroyed outside the city at a safe place.
On the direction of Director General BFA, further legal action was initiated against the elements involved in the supply of defective meat.
DG, BFA said that the authority was active 24 hours a day to check the supply and supply of substandard meat including substandard meat.
