KHANEWAL, Nov 03 (APP):A beggar in Thatta Sadiqabad has been arrested under suspicious circumstances after police recovered Rs8,100 in cash, an Android mobile phone, and a knife from his possession.
According to official sources, Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Iqbal of the Thatta Sadiqabad Police Station intercepted the beggar, identified as Abdul Ghaffar, son of Bagh Ali, a resident of Chak No. 137/10-R, while he was begging for alms at Pull Panjoo on Duniyapur Road.
During a search of the suspect, police discovered the day’s begging amount, along with an Android phone and a knife. Following his arrest, Abdul Ghaffar was taken into custody and lodged at the police station.
A case has been registered against him under the Punjab Vagrancy Law, and investigations are underway.
