KARACHI, Sep 11 (APP):Deputy High Commissioner on Bangladesh in Karachi S M Mahbubul Alam on Wednesday visited the Larkana Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
The BD diplomat interacted with the business community of Larkana and highlighted the potential of doing trade and business with Bangladesh, a press release said.
He said Bangladesh missions in Pakistan have been striving to achieve bilateral trade volume of billion US dollar mark.
S M Mehbubul Alam invited the potential business persons to explore new areas of export and import between the brotherly countries.
He elaborated the foreign investment entrepreneurs from Pakistan to invest in Bangladesh. He mentioned that Bangladesh has been working to establish 100 special economic zones across the country, where foreign investor were most welcome.
Larkana Chamber and eminent business persons expressed their interest for wider trade and business relations with Bangladesh. Issues, such as direct flights, direct shipping, easement of visa regime and exchange of delegations between two countries were discussed.
Mehbubul Alam invited business delegations from Pakistan to Bangladesh. He also emphasized the wider interaction among the Chambers vis-a-vis business persons of both the countries.
