PESHAWAR, Jul 07 (APP):Advisor to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Information and Public Relations, Barrister Dr Muhammad Ali Saif on Monday met with the representatives of the Tochi Welfare Organization at his office.
The delegation, led by General Secretary Mamoor Jan Dawar and Patron Engineer Rehmatullah Khan, discussed various issues facing the people of North (N) Waziristan and explored possible solutions.
The delegation briefed the Advisor on the current situation in North Waziristan, highlighting challenges related to social development, journalism, and public grievances in government institutions. They proposed an increase in grants for the North Waziristan Press Club, raised concerns about the operational issues at Miranshah and Razmak radio stations, and suggested the establishment of a new radio station in Mir Ali.
The issue of blocked national identity cards (NICs) was also discussed in detail. The delegation pointed out the difficulties faced by ordinary citizens in accessing the hearing committee set up in Miranshah to resolve NIC issues. They requested the Advisor’s intervention for a more accessible and efficient resolution process.
Barrister Dr Saif appreciated the efforts of Tochi Welfare Organization for highlighting the issues of the region and working for their resolution. He emphasized that the development of tribal districts is a top priority for the provincial government.
The Advisor lauded the contributions of the organization in the fields of education, healthcare and youth welfare, terming them commendable. He assured the delegation that the concerns raised will be addressed promptly in coordination with relevant authorities.
