Speaking to a delegation of persons with disabilities, Wali Muhammad Noorzai emphasized that the program aims to uplift living standards, promote self-reliance, and ensure full societal inclusion for individuals with disabilities. “The KUMAK Program is a historic step toward transforming lives and enabling active participation in society,” he added.
The Parliamentary Secretary highlighted that the KUMAK Program offers a wide range of facilities designed to address the challenges faced by persons with disabilities.
He noted that Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has committed to registering all eligible individuals under the program and plans to expand its scope further.
To reinforce this commitment, the chief minister has established a dedicated Rs 2 billion fund, aimed at supporting approximately 30,000 registered beneficiaries. Wali Noorzai described this as a humanitarian measure and confirmed that a separate allocation will be included in every annual budget to ensure sustained support for education, economic development, and self-sufficiency.
The Parliamentary Secretary announced significant enhancements to financial aid, including 100 percent increase in monthly stipends, marriage assistance grants, expanded scholarship opportunities for persons with disabilities.
He assured that no individual would be left behind and that the government remains committed to inclusive development.
To accelerate the program’s rollout, Wali Noorzai issued directives to all relevant officers and departmental heads across the province to complete registration processes promptly and initiate welfare activities without delay.
