Balochistan Grand Tourism Festival to showcase province’s tourism potential, cultural heritage in Islamabad

QUETTA, Oct 9 (APP):The Balochistan Department of Culture and Tourism has all set to organize the Balochistan Grand Tourism Festival in Islamabad from October 10 to 12, 2025, aiming to spotlight the province’s rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and vast tourism potential.
Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Tourism and Law, Nawabzada Mir Zarain Khan Magsi, announced that the three-day event is designed to project a peaceful and positive image of Balochistan to both national and international audiences. He emphasized that the initiative reflects the department’s commitment to promoting regional culture and unlocking tourism opportunities across the province.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti is scheduled to formally inaugurate the festival, underscoring the provincial government’s strong support for this landmark event.
The festival promises a vibrant celebration of Balochistan’s artistic and cultural wealth. Nawabzada Magsi highlighted that it will serve as a dynamic platform for local artists and artisans to showcase their talents, describing the event as a milestone in reshaping public perceptions of the province. He also credited Secretary for Culture and Tourism, Sohailur Rehman Baloch, as one of the driving forces behind the initiative.
Organizers hope the festival will help shift the national narrative, drawing attention to Balochistan’s hospitality, cultural richness, and immense potential for tourism and investment.
Dr. Dawood Khan Tareen, a member of the organizing team, confirmed that preparations are complete. Key dignitaries including the Chief Secretary, Parliamentary Secretary, and Secretary for Tourism and Culture are expected to attend.
Director of the Tourism Department, Hashim Khetran, noted that the festival aims to bring the cultural fragrance of Balochistan to the heart of the capital.
