FAISALABAD, Jul 24 (APP):The Azadi Cup Hockey Tournament has started under the aegis of District Education Authority (DEA) in Faisalabad.
Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Dr Shahab Aslam inaugurated the tournament at Hockey Stadium Madina Town here on Wednesday and said that this event would be part of Inter-School Sports Competitions.
Two matches were arranged on the opening day. In the first match, Government Technical High School People’s Colony defeated Government AV Modern High School with 6-0 goals whereas Divisional Public School & Colleges (DPSC) beat Sandal School & College with 6-0 goals in second match.
Divisional Director Secondary Education Dr Kishwar Naheed Rana, CEO Education Kashif Zia, Divisional Sports Officer Tariq Nazir, District Education Officer Secondary Education Iftikhar Khan, District Education Officer for Women Shagufta Naz, District Sports Officer Sajida Lateef, Deputy DEOs Muhammad Fayyaz, Muhammad Farooq Zahid, Muhammad Amjad Rana, Muhammad Zahid Mian and others were also present on the occasion.
