ABBOTTABAD, Nov 03 (APP):Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH) Monday has formally inaugurated a state-of-the-art overhead emergency paging system aimed at improving response time and patient care efficiency.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Medical Director Dr. Imran Khan, who cut the ribbon to mark the launch of the system. Head of Emergency Department Dr. Athar Lodhi and frontline emergency staff were also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Imran Khan said the new system would ensure that patients are attended according to the severity of their medical condition, enabling critically ill patients to receive immediate medical attention without unnecessary delay.
He said the system would also facilitate fast, reliable, and effective communication within the emergency department, allowing prompt response in critical situations.
Dr. Imran added that the paging system would also be used to broadcast public awareness messages to educate patients and their attendants about new patient care pathways. “This initiative will significantly enhance the workflow and performance of the emergency department,” he said.
Acknowledging the efforts of the frontline heroes, Dr. Imran praised their dedication and commitment to patient care, describing them as the backbone of emergency services.
According to the vision of Chairman Board of Governors Professor Dr. Abid Jamil and other board members, Ayub Teaching Hospital’s emergency department is being upgraded to meet international standards.
Dr. Imran expressed confidence that the Ayub Medical Teaching Institute’s emergency department will soon become a model of excellence in patient care and treatment.
