Awareness Walk on Digital Data Drive Fest 2025 held in Larkana

LARKANA, Nov 04 (APP):The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), under the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, organized an Awareness Walk on DataFest-2025 in Larkana on Tuesday to promote the importance of data, digital transformation, and evidence-based policymaking in Pakistan.
The event was organized under the leadership of Zeeshan Ali Memon, Chief Statistical Officer, PBS Regional Office Larkana, as part of the nationwide campaign directed by PBS Headquarters Islamabad. The walk was started from the Office of the District Education Officer (Primary) and concluding at the Press Club Lankana.
Zeeshan Memon stated the walk aimed to create public awareness regarding Data Fest 2025, which will be held at the Pak-China Friendship Center, Islamabad, on 11th and 12th November 2025.
Data Fest 2025 focuses on the 5E Framework Economy, Environment, Equity, E-Governance and E-Pakistan to promote data-driven policymaking, innovation, and digital inclusion across Pakistan. It is part of Pakistan’s broader movement toward digital transformation and data-driven development.
Events such as the Awareness Walk on Data Fest 2025 held in Larkana aim to promote data awareness and highlight the value of data in governance, planning, and decision-making.
Data Fest serves as a platform to celebrate the growing importance of data in national development, Highlight PBS’s efforts in digitizing data collection and analysis, Encourage citizens, policymakers, researchers, and institutions to engage with reliable data for innovation and progress.
Essentially, Data Fest is not just a single event but a nationwide campaign promoting a culture of data literacy across all sectors of society, he told.
