RAWALPINDI, Nov 05 (APP):An awareness walk in connection with the Data Fest 2025 was held here on Wednesday under the auspices of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), as part of the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives’ drive to promote digital transformation and evidence-based national development.
The walk began from the Office of Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, and culminated at the CPO Chowk. Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Ayesha Shafqat, Divisional Coordinator Muhammad Waseem, District Coordinator Naeem Hussain, PBS officers and staff, students, and a large number of citizens participated.
Speaking on the occasion, the organisers said the purpose of the walk was to raise public awareness about the Data Fest 2025, scheduled to be held on November 11-12 at the Pak-China Friendship Centre in Islamabad. They noted that the forthcoming event would serve as a milestone in promoting data-driven policymaking, innovation, and digital inclusion in Pakistan.
They further stated that the central theme of the Data Fest 2025 revolved around the “5E Framework” — Economy, Environment, Equity, e-Governance and e-Pakistan — aimed at fostering evidence-based decision-making and advancing modern digital trends for national development.
The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics has reaffirmed its resolve to continue contributing to the vision of a Digital Pakistan by providing transparent, reliable and timely data at the national level.
